Sociology majors may elect to graduate with a Criminal Justice (CJ) emphasis. This program is intended for students preparing for careers in law enforcement, the criminal justice system and related occupations.
The Sociology-Criminal Justice major consists of 33 credits. Statistics is also required, but does not count toward the 33 credits.

Additional Sociology Electives (3-9 credits)
Any other SOC course to reach 33 total credits. Internship (0-6 credits)
Students may also complete the internship requirement through the Philadelphia Center or Washington DC off campus program. Students who double major in Social Work-CSWE, BA may use SWK 443 and SWK 446 to fulfill this requirement. Students who take their own not-for-credit internship will need to take 9 credits of electives to reach 33 total credits; and, submit a Major Waiver Form to waive this requirement.
