Integrated Science Education, BA

The Hope College Education Department offers an integrated science teaching major in the secondary level for certification through the Michigan Department of Education. This 39-credit major, without a concentration, is for students who wish to teach only at the middle school level. Students must also declare the 44-credit Secondary Education, 5-9 Gr, BA  major.

Students wishing to teach at the middle school and/or high school level must choose one of the integrated science education majors with a concentration (additional courses required): Biology , Chemistry , Geology , or Physics .

Students may also declare one or more of these minors:

• Psychology Education Minor   
• Teaching English as a Second Language Minor
