Secondary Education, 5-9 Gr, BA

The secondary education major with a focus on grades 5-9 is intended for students planning to teach middle school only. It is foundational, integrated, relevant, personal and challenging. Students are encouraged to take advantage of study abroad and May/June terms opportunities around the world.

This major consists of 44 credits of departmental courses. Students are required to also declare the Integrated Science Education, BA  major, without a concentration.

Students may also declare one or more of these minors:

• Teaching English as a Second Language Minor
