NSCI 312L - Functional Neuroanatomy Laboratory This course complements NSCI 312 lecture and offers further exploration of the structure and function of the vertebrate nervous system. Students study neuroanatomy using dissections of fixed brain specimens and histology slides for light microscopy. Students also learn fundamental experimental techniques such as preparation of brain specimens for immunohistochemical analysis, light microscopy and confocal microscopy. Students enhance their understanding of the tridimensional nature of neuroanatomical structures by building neuroanatomical models.
