EDUC 312 - Classroom Management for the Elementary Teacher

This course provides an in-depth study of effective classroom and behavior management techniques for elementary (Pre-K through 3rd and 3rd through 6th) teachers in general education settings. Teacher candidates will explore how effective teachers use a trauma-informed approach to establish a classroom community, ensuring all learners feel safe through understanding the whole child, building relationships, utilizing regulatory-based discipline, learner empowerment, and universal proactive and transitional supports to encourage learner and teacher regulation.
