EDUC 275 - Introduction to Secondary Education and Instruction Design In this course, teacher candidates pursuing secondary education will learn about the various models of secondary schools and the specific needs of working with adolescents in secondary schools. Students also delve into the basics of instructional design, including professional standards, writing instructional objectives, curriculum, assessment, lesson design, differentiation, accommodations, using technology for teaching and learning, and using data from and about students to implement effective instruction.
Credits: 3 Terms Offered: Fall, Spring Prerequisites: EDUC 200 with a grade of C+ or better, EDUC 201 with a grade of C+ or better, EDUC 225 with a grade of C+ or better, EDUC 226 with a grade of C+ or better, EDUC 270 with a grade of C+ or better
