EDUC 271 - Introduction to Elementary Education

This course is the first in the elementary (PK-3 and 3-6) sequence and introduces teacher candidates to foundational concepts, terms, and effective teaching practices. Teacher candidates explore the following questions: How do children learn? How are elementary schools structured? What and how do effective elementary teachers teach? How do teachers meet the individual needs of all learners in their classrooms?
