EDUC 203U - Clinical Experience for the Science Teacher 3rd Through 6th Grade

This hands-on experience provides opportunities for teacher candidates to experience elementary 3-6 science content through observations, field experiences, video analysis and lesson planning and designing modifications/accommodations for all learners. Providing teacher candidates with numerous opportunities to build and modify lessons, make cross curricular connections to deepen science learning and learn to evaluate lessons for NGSS content and understand how to begin science instruction at the upper elementary level. This course meets each week. Emphasis is on core teaching practices, building from NGSS assessments to previous/current courses to enhance teacher candidates confidence and readiness to teach upper elementary science through practices and teacher models.
