NURS 385 - Gerontological Nursing Theory and Practicum This course provides an opportunity to integrate concepts of evidence-based gerontological nursing care across cultures. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing a variety of nursing roles in the provision of care to promote or restore optimal health. This course is a combination of theory and practicum experiences. This course meets both first and second half of each semester. Theory, 14 hours; practicum, 84 hours per rotation for a half semester. Students may take NURS 310 and NURS 320 either prior to enrollment in or concurrently with the class.
Credits: 3 Terms Offered: Fall, Spring Prerequisites: Declared nursing major, NURS 222 and NURS 242 with a grade of C or better, NURS 310 with a grade of C or better, NURS 320 with a grade of C or better Corequisites: NURS 310 , NURS 320
