NURS 315 - Family Health Nursing Theory and Practicum This course provides an opportunity to integrate concepts of evidence-based health care for families in the community. Students will utilize and implement the nursing process as it pertains to families. Emphasis will be placed on health promotion, health education and disease prevention with community-based healthy families across cultures. A focus will be placed on developing partnerships with families for their health care. This course is a combination of theory and practicum experiences. Theory, 7 hours per semester; practicum, 21 hours per semester. Completion of one additional theory and practicum course is required prior to this course.
Credits: 1 Terms Offered: Spring Prerequisites: Declared nursing major, NURS 210 with a grade of C or better, NURS 222 and NURS 242 with a grade of C or better, NURS 255 with a grade of C or better, with a grade of C or better, NURS 310 with a grade of C or better
