The Racquet Sports Management (RSM) minor program prepares students for careers in the racquet sports industry through content knowledge and hands-on experience outside the classroom. Students gain practical training at the on-campus DeWitt Tennis Center, where they work directly with club members of varying ages and skill levels while learning from industry experts.This program allows students to combine their passion for racquet sports with any academic major while earning certifications from the Racquet Sports Professionals Association (RSPA) and Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). The curriculum covers multiple disciplines including tennis, pickleball, padel, squash, and platform tennis.
RSM graduates are prepared for diverse career paths including on-court coaching, racquet sports program direction, club management, equipment manufacturing, certification organization work, mental performance coaching, personal training, and college coaching. With its focus on innovation, community engagement, and professional development, RSM provides a dynamic learning environment for aspiring sports industry professionals.
The RSM minor consists of 20.5 credits.
