German Education P-12, BA

In partnership with the Hope College Education Department, the Department of World Languages and Cultures offers a P-12 German language teaching major for certification through the Michigan Department of Education. The major consists of 24 credits and students must complete at least one semester in a study abroad program.

In addition, students must also declare the 44-credit secondary education (no grade band) major, Secondary Education, BA .

Students may also declare one or more of these minors:

• Psychology Education Minor  
• Special Education, Emotional Impairments K-12 Minor  
• Special Education, Learning Disabilities K-12 Minor  
• Teaching English as a Second Language Minor
