Public Accounting, BA

Students who wish to pursue the public accounting pre-professional program should contact a member of the accounting staff early in their careers, since this program requires a special sequence of courses. ACCT 423 , ACCT 425 , ACCT 427 and ACCT 428 are required by the State of Michigan for those intending to take the CPA exam in Michigan. Any student contemplating taking the CPA exam in a state other than Michigan should consult with their advisor no later than the first semester of their junior year. Internships are available in both private and public sectors.
