Minor candidates must complete 9 credits of foundational courses, 6 credits focusing on a specific American ethnic group (African American, Asian American, Latina/o American Native American) and a capstone course. The capstone seminar course will include either supervisory meetings while enrolled for an internship, or, a research project and will utilize assessment documentation from earlier courses to assure ongoing communication with each student, as well as facilitation and implementation of the program’s assessment process.
The American ethnic studies minor consists of 18 credits.
