English Minor

A minimum of 21 credits, consisting of:

IDS 171 , IDS 173  or IDS 175  may be substituted, with two credits counting toward English

• ENGL 248 - Introduction to Literary Studies Credits: 4

• ENGL 231 - Literature of the Western World I Credits: 4

• or

• ENGL 233 - Ancient Global Literature Credits: 4 (choosing one of these is recommended)

• a writing course above ENGL 113 
• 12 credits of literature courses numbered 270 or higher.
