SWK 245 - Childhood Trauma

As an elective course, SWK 245: Childhood Trauma prepares social work students and those in related fields for practice with children who have experienced traumatic events. The course includes a multidisciplinary examination of childhood traumatic stress and its interaction with development, attachment, culture, families, and social environments. Further, it covers approaches to addressing trauma through screening, assessment, treatment, and trauma-informed care.
