REL 142 - American Jesus

This course will consider how Americans, both Christian and non-Christian, have depicted and understood the figure of Jesus. We will explore images of Jesus in popular culture, debates over the nature of Christ, Christian views of salvation, and the relationship between religion and politics in the U.S.
