NSCI 313 - Neurophysiology

This course is focused on the neurophysiological function of the nervous system, ranging from cellular neurophysiology to the physiology of neural circuits and systems that underlie sensation, cognition, and behavior. The course will begin with a foundation in the core concepts of cellular neurophysiology, emphasizing the principles underlying resting membrane potential, action potentials, the physiology of voltage gated and synaptic ion channels, and synaptic integration and plasticity. The course will then explore the physiology of neural circuits and their relationship to behavior.
