GEMS 159 - Anatomy and Physiology in Everyday Life This introductory course explores the fundamental concepts of human anatomy and physiology. Students will learn how the structure and function of the human body relate to everyday health and wellness, emphasizing the application of anatomical and physiological principles in real-world scenarios. Topics will include the major organ systems, their roles in maintaining homeostasis, and the impact of lifestyle choices on bodily functions. Additionally, students will engage in discussions on current health issues and preventative measures, fostering a deeper understanding of how personal choices can affect overall health. Through interactive activities and case studies, learners will apply their knowledge to make informed decisions about their health.
