SWK 352 - Social Interventions II


This course is the second in a series of practice courses in the social work curriculum. It will focus on generalist practice skills, interventions and issues involved in working with client systems at the level of families and small groups. Engagement, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and termination stages will be addressed. Attention will be given to applications of social learning theory; social work values; ethical decision making; roles of the social worker; and competent practice in relations to ethnicity, race, and gender.
