PHYS 121 - General Physics I The course is calculus-based and designed for students desiring professional science careers. It provides a rigorous examination of the following physical phenomena and systems: forces, conservation of momentum, energy (kinetic, potential, chemical, and thermal), fields, thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics. Students may take MATH 131 either prior to enrollment in or concurrently with the class.
