KIN 451 - Introduction to Teaching Health Education in Secondary Schools


This course is designed to help health educators develop competencies in planning and implementing health instruction and related learning opportunities. Attention focuses on developing the following skills: designing grade-level programs; preparing lesson plans and materials utilizing existing resources; applying primary teaching strategies used in health education; and delivering lessons that synthesize student outcomes, specific content, teaching strategies, student activities, and materials for all student abilities.
