SOC 336 - Social Epidemiology


Social epidemiology is a branch of epidemiology that studies how social conditions influence health. This course will introduce concepts, theories, and methods of social epidemiology. It takes an interdisciplinary approach to learn about the social determinants of health and how diseases are socially distributed across populations. The course helps students recognize the social context of disease frequency and patterning to understand how inequalities affect health.
