Students are introduced to both simulation-based and traditional theory-based inference. There is an emphasis on conceptual understanding and active learning using group activities and projects. The statistical methods covered in this course are used in peer-reviewed research across a variety of disciplines, and students will be introduced to statistical software that is widely-used in these fields.
