DAN 293 - Global Percussive Dance and Music Perspectives

This course will give students an introduction to the percussive dance and music of a variety of cultures, many of which have roots in the African diaspora. Students will learn basic instrumental techniques, physical percussive styles and dance movements, and experience the intrinsic connection between music and dance.
