THEA 375 - Musical Theatre Workshop A

Forming the initial segment of a two-semester workshop in musical theatre performance, this course will focus on the selection and preparation of solo and duet material, from the beginnings of musical theatre up to around 1950. Drawing material from genres of musical theatre appropriate for each individual, students will develop a “song book” portfolio and a musical theatre audition. The course will culminate in a showcase presented at the end of the semester. This course may be repeated to develop new skills. THEA 161 is highly recommended prior to this course.
