SPAN 443 - Mesoamerican Civilizations and Colonial Hispanic American Cultures, Histories and Literatures This topic course will explore the cosmovision, cultures and religions of Mesoamerican Civilizations before and after the Encounter with Europeans. It will analyze the impact, perspectives and resistances of those involved as well as the resulting legacies in the colonial systems that were established after the Conquest of Mexico & Peru. Students will improve their linguistic proficiency and their critical, analytical, and writing skills. SPAN 362 or SPAN 364 is highly recommended prior to this course.
