PHYS 352 - Optics

Topics covered concern both geometrical and physical optics. The approach involves matrix formulation, computer formulation, Fourier analysis as it relates to Fresnel and Frauenhofer diffraction, interference, polarization matrices and holography. The relevance of these topics to modern day optical information processing and physical devices is considered.
