PHIL 450 - Capstone Seminar in Philosophy

A topical seminar dealing with significant thinkers, issues and approaches within philosophy. For philosophy majors, the seminar serves as a capstone course within the major. Topics of the seminar vary and have included Philosophies of Affection and Desire; God and Morality; James and Wittgenstein on Religion. It is the goal of the course to provide appropriate opportunities for students to exercise the skills needed for reading philosophy and for thinking, writing and interacting with others philosophically.
