CHIN 101 - Chinese I

A course for beginners of Chinese. The primary goal of this course is to acquire the basic skills necessary to begin communicating in Chinese. The secondary goal of gaining insight in the Chinese language world comes by means of performing the language with an understanding of cultural and contextual appropriateness. Emphasis is placed on four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, with a primary focus on oral communication. Conducted both in Chinese and English.
