THEA 274 - Stage Production III: Scenic Technology and Drafting An introduction to the basics of stage production for the performing arts with special attention to the disciplines of dance and theatre. Areas of study focus on scenic technology and drafting. Students will be introduced to the basics of drafting and develop their skills in computer aided drafting for theatre. Additionally, they will be introduced to the basics of scenic technology and develop their skills as a theatrical carpenter, including the use ofhand and power tools, scenery fabrication, and stage rigging. This class will include lectures, demonstrations, and experiential learning of subject matter. Cross-listed with DAN 274 .
