PSY 384 - Science of Romantic Relationships


People’s lives exist in the context of interpersonal relationships, with romantic relationships playing a prominent role in the lives of most adults. This 4-credit seminar is designed to introduce students to the science of romantic relationships, progressing from issues of attraction and mate selection all the way through break-up and divorce. Along the way we will explore the major theories of close relationships and examine research that helps us to understand how intimate relationships develop, thrive, or deteriorate over time. PSY 200  is highly recommended prior to this course.
