PSY 308 - Multicultural Psychology This course addresses how culture influences thinking and behavior. It is designed to address both the universality and cultural specificity of psychological principles and theories. The course will cover general topics such as: What is culture? How does it influence the individual? What is multiculturalism? The course will address theories of multicultural psychology, research and assessment in biological, social, developmental and personality psychology. The course will also examine multicultural issues by learning about four minority groups in the USA. PSY 100 is highly recommended prior to this course.
