PHIL 232 - Modern Philosophy An introduction to the developments in European philosophy from Descartes to Kant. Authors to be studied include Descartes, Spinoza, and Leibniz, Locke, Berkeley, Hume, and Kant. Issues to be explored include knowledge and skepticism, appearance and reality, the existence of God, and the nature of the human mind. Partial fulfillment of the Cultural Heritage requirement.
