FREN 443 - Early Modern French Studies A course on the literary, historical, socio-political, economic, and artistic developments in French society from the Renaissance period to the French Revolution. Topics include one of the following: The Birth of the French Arts de Vivre; Faith and Politics in Early Modern France; Great French Queens, Nuns, Warriors, and Artists from the Renaissance to the 18th Century; stories of passion. Two 300-level Fren courses with a grade of C+ or better are highly recommended prior to this course.
