ECON 410 - Economics of the Public Sector Study of the role of government in a market economy. The theory and practice of taxation, expenditure, analysis and government regulation are examined in terms of their impact on economic efficiency and income redistribution. Topics include benefit-cost analysis, environmental pollution, tax reform, healthcare economics, income transfer programs and intergovernmental grants.
