CHEM 125 - General Chemistry I This is the first course in a two-semester sequence of introductory chemistry that is for all students who wish to major in science and who do not have a thorough high-school preparation in chemistry. The material is supplemented by reviewing high school chemistry as needed, and topics are taught at a slower pace than in CHEM 131 . Topics include stoichiometry, states of matter, atomic structure, periodicity, chemical bonding, and geometry of molecules. Lecture, 3 hours per week; discussion, 1 hour per week.
