BIOL 348 - Advanced Cell Biology An advanced study of cell structure, function and regulation of eukaryotic cells. The goal of this course is for students to learn and understand cellular/molecular mechanisms that are essential in the maintenance of cellular homeostasis. The specific topics include cell membrane, cell organelles, cytoskeleton, extracellular matrix and cell cycle. The gene structure and function is also explored. Three lectures per week.
Credits: 3 Terms Offered: Spring Prerequisites: BIOL 105 and BIOL 106 , BIOL 107 or equivalent, BIOL 108 or equivalent
