MATH 215 - Intermediate Statistics

This course provides a survey of statistical methods students would expect to see utilized across disciplines in peer reviewed research. Students focus on potential sources of variability, study design, and analyses of studies where the research questions involve more than two variables simultaneously. Topics include multiple regression, non-parametric methods, generalized linear models, and multivariate statistical models. The course culminates in a final project where students design their own study, collect & analyze data using statistical software, and present their results. Cannot receive credit for both Math 215 and MATH 219 . MATH 115  or previous statistics experience is highly recommended prior to this course.
