English Education Minor

In partnership with the Hope College Education Department, the English Department offers an English teaching minor in the secondary level for certification through the Michigan Department of Education. The minor consists of 21 credits and must be declared with one of the secondary education majors, and one of the special education K-12 majors.

Secondary education teaching majors:

• Secondary Education, 5-9 Gr, 7-12 Gr, BA  (for a middle school focus)
• Secondary Education, 7-12 Gr, 5-9 Gr, BA  (for a high school focus)

Special education K-12 majors:

• Special Education, Emotional Impairments K-12, BA  
• Special Education, Learning Disabilities K-12, BA .
