Latin Education K-12, BA

In partnership with the Hope College Education Department, the Department of World Languages and Cultures offers a K-12 Latin language teaching major for certification through the Michigan Department of Education. The major consists of 24 credits and students must complete at least one semester in a study abroad program.

In addition, students must also declare one of the 44-credit secondary education teaching majors: Secondary Education, 5-9 Gr, 7-12 Gr, BA  (for a middle school focus) or Secondary Education, 7-12 Gr, 5-9 Gr, BA  (for a high school focus). Students may also declare a content minor: Psychology Education Minor  or Teaching English as a Second Language Minor .

Latin (21 credits)


The below courses may be repeated for credit.
