Integrated Science Education, BA

The Hope College Education Department offers an integrated science teaching major in the secondary level for certification through the Michigan Department of Education. The major consists of 39 credits. Students may also choose to declare a concentration (additional courses required): Biology , Chemistry , Geology , or Physics .

In addition, students must also declare one of the 44-credit secondary education teaching majors: Secondary Education, 5-9 Gr, 7-12 Gr, BA  (for a middle school focus) or Secondary Education, 7-12 Gr, 5-9 Gr, BA  (for a high school focus). Students may also declare a content minor: Psychology Education Minor  or Teaching English as a Second Language Minor .
