Latin Education Minor

In partnership with the Hope College Department of Education, the Department of World Languages and Cultures offers a teaching minor in Latin for certification through the State of Michigan. Students planning to teach a foreign language at the secondary level must meet all requirements of Education Department upon being formally admitted to the Teacher Education program in addition to those of the language department.

Requirements for the 20 Credit Latin Teaching Minor Are:
- 4 credits of Teaching World Languages K-12 (EDUC 388 /EDUC 389 ). This course is considered pedagogy and is not part of the 20 credit minor.
16 credits in Latin at the 300-level or above
