BIOL 423 - Reproductive Biology The course discusses the definition, origin, and persistence of sexual reproduction and its importance in the living world. We’ll look at the diversity of ways in which organisms throughout the tree of life mate and reproduce, and the benefits and drawbacks to different types of reproduction including sexual and asexual reproduction. Additional topics will include alternative mating strategies, gender, intersexual and introsexual conflict.

Prerequisites: BIOL 105 , BIOL 106 , BIOL 107 or equivalent, BIOL 108 or equivalent Corequisites: BIOL 423L
