REL 125 - Land, Scripture, Story, Place

This course examines “the land” (both as symbol and actual soil) as an entryway into the biblical story. We’ll explore the story of Israel’s anticipation for, rootedness in, and expulsion from the land in the Old Testament, as well as the continuation and development of these themes in the New Testament. We’ll connect these biblical passages with complex questions facing the world today, including environmental and political questions involving land.
