PSY 425 - Global Child Flourishing


This advanced psychology course will focus on developmental assets and protective factors to child and adolescent development in multiple cultural contexts outside of the United States. We will cover topics such as early childhood interventions, school climate initiatives, and youth mentoring programs. Students will understand asset-based frameworks of child development promoted globally, intervention science, and systemic barriers to flourishing. The course aims to foster students’ social responsibility both as global citizens and faith community members.
