GEMS 101 - Mathematics of Puzzles and Games In this course, students will practice mathematical thinking while engaging with puzzles and games. These will be explored through algorithms, strategic thinking, counting methods, and binary numbers. Example games and puzzles are the Rubik’s Cube, card games like SET and Quads, Nim-style games, and Sudoku. Students will become experts in a game of their choice and will share this game with a community outside the classroom.
