EDUC 203 - Clinical Experience for the Science Teacher Pre-K Through 6th Grade

This hands-on experience provides opportunities for teacher candidates to experience PreK-6 elementary science content through observations, field experiences and video analysis and lesson analysis and assessment practices. Providing teacher candidates with numerous opportunities to build and modify lessons, make cross curricular connections to deepen science learning, and practice teaching science lessons through the micro teaching process. This course meets each week. Emphasis is on core teaching practices, using NGSS content to develop lower elementary lessons and pathways for science instruction across the curriculum. Teacher candidates will develop and practice NGSS aligned lessons and use peer review to enhance lesson design through practices and observing science instruction.
