POL 237 - Judicial Politics

This course examines the operation of the United States federal judicial system, with a particular focus on the United States Supreme Court. Unlike courses on constitutional law, which focus on legal doctrine, it contemplates the political aspects of the legal system, with an emphasis on social scientific research on law and legal processes to reveal how both internal and external mechanisms influence judicial behavior and decision-making.
