REL 384 - Muslim-Christian Relations: An Introduction Nearly 50% of all human beings self-identify as either Muslim or Christian, and that number is expected to top 60% by the year 2050. This course provides a historical survey of Muslim-Christian relations from the 7th century CE to the present. It covers important historical episodes and encounters between the two traditions, major points of commonality and debate, cultural and political interactions, and prospects for Muslim-Christian dialogue and coexistence today.
